Oldham Mountain Rescue Team welcomed some special guests who called in to refuel part-way through an epic journey.

Natalya Kennedy and Derby Mountain Rescue Team stopped off for refreshments halfway into her gruelling cycle challenge fundraiser of 246km off-road route linking the seven Peak District Mountain Rescue Teams bases all within 24 hours.

Starting at Derby's team base at midnight, Nat and her crew made it to Oldham’s HQ  just after 10am on Saturday looking very fresh and ahead of schedule.

After a short stop to refuel, Nat headed towards Glossop for her next stop.

Mountain Rescue is a charity largely funded by donations, fundraisers and grants. Funds raised by this epic challenge will go towards kitting out Derby MRT's much-needed new base.

Her epic 246km Peak District Rescue Round started at midnight on Friday.

She visited Edale Mountain Rescue Team, Woodhead Mountain Rescue Team, Oldham Mountain Rescue Team, Glossop Mountain Rescue Team, Kinder Mountain Rescue Team and Buxton Mountain Rescue Team.

Nat has had several people ride with her for sections of the route while also being accompanied by a support team.

She is raising funds for the team’s new base at Mackworth. To donate, visit gofundme.com/f/peak-district-rescue-round
