One man was rushed to hospital after he was slashed in an attack in Uppermill.

The attack was outside a business on High Street at around 8.35pm on Friday.

A Greater Manchester Police (GMP) spokesperson said one man was rushed to hospital with facial injuries. These facial injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.

The police are appealing for any information and there are no arrests at this time.

A GMP spokesperson said: "At around 8.35pm on Friday we were called to reports of a stabbing outside a business on High Street, Uppermill. 

"It has been established that a man was slashed and he was taken to hospital to be treated for injuries to his face that are not described as life-threatening."
