Police arrested another man on suspicion of rape after a serious sexual assault at Alexandra Park.
It comes after a woman said she was attacked on Monday (July 15) at the park off Kings Road.
Initially, police said they arrested a man on suspicion of rape and today, Saturday (July 20), police said they arrested another man on suspicion of rape.
The first man is on bail while the second man is in custody to be interviewed in connection with the serious sexual assault. Both of them are in their 40s.
Previously Detective Sergeant Brereton, of GMP Oldham, said: "Although we believe this to be an isolated incident, we would encourage anyone to avoid the area at night time.
"Our officers have increased their patrols and are on hand to help you. Don't be alarmed if you see more officers in the area - feel free to speak to them if you have any questions."
