A popular pub in Shaw opened a new beer garden yesterday (July 18) after a large investment.
The Shay Wake has revealed its new garden area, which can cater for more than 150 extra customers.
A JD Wetherspoons pub, The Shay Wake's new addition is the result of a £300,000 investment.
First opened in December 2011, the pub has been a hotspot in Shaw for some time and lodged plans for the new garden area in February.
The pub also gained a visit from Wetherspoons boss, Sir Tim Martin, in January.
The garden features colourful instalments including a bright orange pergola.
The 1,862 square foot garden features multicoloured freestanding furniture including high-top seating.
The opening comes just in time for today's (Friday July 19) 26C heat, meaning pubgoers can get a feel for the new garden straight away.
Along with the aesthetic success, an effort has also been made for accessibility, with access ramps to the different levels of the garden.
There is also an emphasis on nature in the garden with plenty of flower pots, shrubs and climbing wall plants.
The pub also recently secured a 5-star hygiene rating from Oldham Council's inspectors.
Comments on social media posts about the garden label it 'amazing' and 'very impressive'.
The garden will be open everyday from 8am to 8pm.
