The M60 was shut for a short time due to a dog on the motorway last night (July 14).
The incident was shared in a post on social media by National Highways after 10pm.
The post on social media said the M60 was shut for a short time due to a dog on the motorway between the exits for Oldham and Middleton. The closure was in both directions causing delays for night-time traffic.
It said police officers and traffic officers were on the scene to try to capture the animal.
However, a matter of minutes after the first post, a follow-up post said the scene was clear.
It said: "Delays remain in the area but should now start to ease. Thanks for your patience this evening."
