A fire broke out at a mill in Mossley this afternoon, Thursday.
Firefighters were sent to a blaze at the site, which is behind The Britannia Inn pub on Manchester Road, just after 5pm.
Police were also in attendance.
No injuries have been reported and the cause of the fire is not yet known.
The pub was evacuated as emergency services dealt with the incident.
A Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Just after 5pm today (Thursday, July 4), firefighters were called to reports of a fire at a commercial premises on Manchester Road in Mossley.
“Three fire engines from Mossley, Ashton and Stalybridge fire stations quickly arrived at the scene.
"Firefighters used breathing apparatus and a positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the fire, which had broken out in a small outbuilding of a derelict mill.
"Customers at the adjoining pub were evacuated as a precaution and were later allowed back inside.
“Crews were at the scene for around 45 minutes.”
