Greyhound Inn in Royton has been awarded Community Pub of the Year by J.W. Lees.
The pub, on Holden Fold Lane, was taken over by Patrick and Tracey Chetram over four years ago and they have worked to make the pub a key part of the community ever since.
In a post to social media announcing the win, Patrick said: "We would like to thank all the Greyhound Team for all your hard work in helping to make it a great pub and all our customers for your loyal and continued support."
Greyhound Inn was also nominated for the Regional Pub of the Year award.
The pub has held various events, raffles and competitions to raise money for charitable causes, such as an easter hamper raffle to raise money for the installation of a defibrillator at the premises.
The owners' daughter, Tia, also donated her hair to The Little Princess Trust and held an event at the pub where they had raffles and sold food, with all profits going to the charity.
Speaking to The Oldham Times in May for our Pub of The Week series, the Chetrams said: "We have also been nominated for the past two years for an award within the JW Lees group, so hopefully we get nominated this year and we can be successful in receiving the top award.
"That would be the icing on the cake for us."
They said they are very passionate about helping people make "great memories" and making sure the pub is "very rapidly becoming the hub of the community once again".
The Chetram's took over Greyhound Inn just five weeks before the Coronavirus lockdown, they then had to shut the pub again for six weeks due to a total refurbishment.
Despite the bumps in the road, the awards recognise the pair for their impressive work at cementing the pub into it's community.
Customers also accredit the pubs atmosphere frequently in reviews on Google, with them being hailed as a "lovely little pub with a great atmosphere," and "one of very few good, honest pubs left."
They hold live acts on Saturdays, a quiz night every Tuesday and fry-day or pie-day on Fridays.
Thursdays allow for visitors to indulge in cheese or charcuterie boards (or a bit of both) and an added bonus offer of buying two large glasses of wine getting you the rest of the bottle free.
Sundays see the pub serve up their traditional roast dinner with the customers choice of meats and seasonal vegetables, roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings and gravy.
They also have a large beer garden with plenty of seating which gets plenty of sun on hot days.
