Plans have been lodged to convert a building previously used as a nursery into a house in multiple occupation (HMO).

An application has been submitted to Oldham Council regarding a vacant building on Ashton Road in Bardsley.

Planning documents show that the property, which has been vacant for around 12 months, used to be a nursery, but now, there are plans to make it a 10-bedroom HMO.

The two-storey structure, which also has a basement, sits at 906 Ashton Road, while existing floor plans show the ground floor had a creche and play area, along with a kitchen and toilets, while the upstairs has office rooms and another kitchen.

The proposed plans lay out how the basement would have one bedroom, along with a kitchen and bathroom, while the ground floor would have four bedrooms and the first floor would have five bedrooms.

Two of the ground-floor bedrooms would have en-suites and the would also be a kitchen, dining room, and two bathrooms on that floor.

Going upstairs, only one of the five bedrooms would have an en-suite, while there would also be a kitchen and separate bathroom.

No mention of parking is made in planning documents submitted thus far, but there is space between the property and the building to the south, while the site to the north currently operates as a nursery and pre-school.
