The Royal Toby hotel, a popular wedding venue and restaurant in Rochdale, has unveiled its new £1m refurbishment.

The venue has had finishing touches to the new interiors this week, completing the 'modern elegance' theme.

While it features a modern touch, designers have tried to blend this with what the building could have looked like when first built.

The Deckers Group, which owns the venue, have invested £1million in a total refurbishment, with 50 of the 53 rooms in the hotel having been stripped completely and refit with with modern, high-specification furniture, curtains, carpets and bathrooms.

The refit has included its bridal suites and the Rhyddings function suite for weddings and conferences for up to 150 people.

The venue reported that since the luxurious refreshment, they have had increased visits from new customer bases.

Retail Director at The Deckers Group, Rob Walker said: “Since transforming The Royal Toby we’ve noticed a younger demographic, as well as our core family audience, enjoying our venue.

“Our schedule might have been interrupted by the pandemic but we’re now very proud to show off what this investment has led to and we’re sure all of our guests will agree it was worth the wait.”

The Royal Toby's restaurant and bar, which can seat 200 people, has also got a fresh new look with style of Victorian grandeur, but with a modern luxe feel. Its stunning chandeliers were taken down so that each crystal could be polished by hand and are back sparkling brighter than ever.

The new aesthetic of the venue features golden touches blending with the timeless oak wood panelling and melds together both the history of the building with the modern future ahead of it.
