A popular festival which was a sell out last year is back again this summer with a hefty line-up of indie tribute acts.
VentureFest, which was held at The Old School BBQ Bus restaurant to success last year, has announced its grand return - this time at The Millgate Pub on Ashton Road West.
The all-day outdoor festival kicks off at 1pm on Saturday, July 27, and has three tribute acts taking to the main stage - Arctic Numpties (a tribute for Arctic Monkeys), Green for a Day (the official tribute act of Green Day) and Shadowplay (a Joy Division tribute).

Then, there will be an indie disco afterparty with performances from an abundance of local bands, from The Coltens, Jack Carroll and Two of the Same to Clouds and Errors and Crook on the Wall.
Over at the acoustic stage, expect to hear from Scotty Dunning, The Bliss, Of All People, Caesar of Cymatics, Zenybux and Oliver Hand.
Teasing the big day, Venture Entertainment organisers said there will be an outdoor stage and an indoor acoustic stage, plus an indoor nightclub and stalls from local businesses.
