Tributes have poured in from across Oldham for the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
More than 4,000 Allied troops died during the Normandy landings, which took place on Tuesday June 6 1944 and ultimately liberated Western Europe.
Today, politicians, schools, and residents throughout the borough have all remembered the sacrifices of British, American, Canadian and other Allied soldiers.
The Oldham Times has compiled a list of posts dedicated to the largest seaborne invasion in history.
