A further three men have been arrested from a holiday park in Wales in connection with a shooting and stabbing incident in Oldham.

On Wednesday (May 22), police were called to Royal Oldham Hospital A&E as well as to Busk Road in Chadderton after a man presented himself with "gunshot wounds to his arms".

Another man also received "serious knife wounds" from the scene.

Yesterday (Tuesday, May 28), detectives with assistance from colleagues in North Wales Police executed a warrant at a holiday park in Abergele, North Wales.

The search saw three men arrested, with two aged 32 years old and 22 years old arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a 28-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. 

Earlier this week, two men were charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon in connection with the incident. 

So far, Greater Manchester Police has searched several homes, with two charges and arrested eight people.

Detective Inspector Alex Wilkinson of GMP’s Major Incident Team said: “So far, we have conducted five search warrants and nine property searches have been executed as part of our investigation whilst securing two charges and making a total of eight arrests.

“Our work is far from over but the investigation is moving at pace, and we continue to work relentlessly to capture a picture of what happened leading up to the incident.

“We continue to urge anyone who has any information or any CCTV, mobile or dashcam footage from the area in the evening of 22 May to contact us as a matter of urgency.

“Please call 101 quoting incident 3740 on 22/05/2024. Alternatively, reports can be made anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
