Two men have been charged with attempted murder after reportedly 'shooting' and 'stabbing' two other men in Oldham last week.

At around 8.30pm on Wednesday (May 22), police were called to Burk Road following reports of a shooting and a stabbing.

A man had presented himself at Royal Oldham Hospital Accident and Emergency with gunshot wounds and another had received "serious knife wounds" from the scene.

Greater Manchester Police conducted raids across the region on Friday (May 24).

Now, 28-year-old Stephen Wilson, from Salford, and 33-year-old Jordan Aston have both been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

They have been remanded and will appear at Manchester Magistrates Court today.
