A teenage boy has died after he was struck by a car on a busy road in Oldham earlier this week and a driver has been arrested on suspicion of careless driving.
On Tuesday (May 21), emergency services were called to reports of a "serious" crash involving a car and a pedestrian on Rochdale Road at around 8.10pm.
It is believed a black Seat Ibiza was travelling northbound along the road near the roundabout at the busy intersection of Rochdale Road, King Street and Middleton Road when it crashed into a 15-year-old boy.

“Specially trained officers are supporting the family through every step of the process, and we will keep them updated as and when any information becomes available.
“While we have made an arrest, we are continuing to ask for information as we progress our investigation – if you have anything that you think could help, or witnessed anything, please do get in touch.
"This includes any relevant dashcam, CCTV, or mobile phone footage.”
