Oldham drivers have been warned that a key road in the borough will be closed for two nights this week as works are being carried out.
Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) has said that Oldham Way A627 will be closed in both directions between 9pm and 5.30am tomorrow (Wednesday, May 15), and Thursday (May 16).

Oldham Way will be closed between the Manchester Road roundabout and the road's junction with Prince Street.

According to TfGM, the "exit slip from Oldham Way will be closed for some of the works, with lane closures and road closures also required due to carriageway working".
In February last year, maintenance work on bridges at Waterloo Street and Wellington Street began and continued for just more than a year.
