An Oldham takeaway has been named in a food critic's top three best chicken burgers in the UK.

Curio Food Co., in Royton, featured in an influencer's list amongst the very best burger joints in the country - respectably taking third place.

The mobile catering company is stationed at Heyside Cricket Club, on Hey Street, and its 'Thai bird' dish earned its nomination by 'The Burger Reviews'.

Speaking about his top three in the video, Bowden Morgan said: "In third place is the Thai bird from Curio, my mouth is salivating just looking at this, it's incredible.

"In second place we have the phat boi from Lou & Joe's, in Holmfirth, this Vietnamese inspired burger is one you cannot miss.

"And the best fried chicken burger in the UK is the Jean Martain from Clucking Oinks, in York. Truffle mayo, hot honey, grated parmesan and crispy prosciutto - an absolute masterpiece."

However, it was only by chance that Curio's featured in the list after it appeared on Bowden's social media and he told The Oldham Times why residents should visit the horsebox.
