A grass verge on a residential street in Oldham has been damaged again, just weeks after initial damages caused by a lorry were repaired.
In late November last year, the grass verge on Fox Park Road was damaged when a council refuse lorry was on the road and tried to manoeuvre past a parked repair lorry.
According to Ray Croll, a resident, the lorry mounted the grass verge and got stuck before it caused damage to the patch of grass and eventually moved on.
Mr Croll contacted the council to try and get the grass verge repaired and around four months later, remedial works were carried out.
Now, just weeks after the works were carried out, it has once again sustained damage from a lorry.
Mr Croll said that Thursday (April 11), a green bin lorry mounted the verge, leaving a significant tyre mark.

He said that there were no vehicles nearby to restrict the bin lorry's access and that the damage was the result of "complete negligence and total disregard for acceptable driving techniques".
Fortunately for Mr Croll and other Fox Park Road residents, workers from the council arrived to repair the verge on Friday morning (April 12) after Mr Croll reported the incident the previous afternoon.
A spokesperson for Oldham Council said: "In response to reports of damage to the verge, caused by a refuse collection vehicle, officers from the team visited the area yesterday (April 11) and spoke to a number of residents to assess the damage and arrange repairs.
"We are pleased to report that the verge was repaired this morning (April 12).
"We sincerely apologise that this has happened again and will be discussing this with colleagues and looking at options to prevent a recurrence."
