A popular chicken takeaway is bringing a taste of Louisiana to Greater Manchester as it announces opening a new drive-thru next month.
Popeyes UK has announced it will open its doors and lanes of Manchester's first drive-thru restaurant on Bury New Road.
The restaurant marks the brand's 12th opening of the year - and the 47th overall in the country since landing in the UK in November 2021.

The new restaurant, which will officially open on Wednesday, April 24, comes as Popeyes hopes to open 30 new locations throughout the year.
Ahead of the big launch, chicken fans can enter a prize draw to try to win a famous chicken sandwich at the opening of the new venue.
Participants can do so by signing up via the Popeyes UK website and guests looking to visit on launch day are advised to get down quickly to beat round-the-block queues.
Diners at the Manchester Piccadilly site reportedly queued from as early as 6.30pm the night before.
Customers can also look forward to Popeyes world-famous 'shatter crunch', as well as its iconic chicken sandwich, original Southern biscuits and gravy and breakfast items such as the 'big breakfast roll', made up of sausage patty, egg, streaky bacon and American cheese.
It will also have breakfast muffins, cajun hash browns and its famous Louisiana buttermilk biscuits, served with cinnamon sugar or Nutella.
Tom Crowley, Popeyes UK Chief Executive Officer, said: "Following the success of our Manchester Piccadilly restaurant, we are thrilled to bring our newest Popeyes to Bury New Road, marking our third restaurant in the North West.
"Our new restaurant will also be a drive-thru, meaning customers in Greater Manchester can enjoy our famous Louisiana chicken by dining in, via the drive-thru lane, or by ordering online for kerbside collection.
"Our most recent openings have been some of the biggest to date, not just in the UK but for Popeyes globally, and we’re confident that Bury New Road will be just as popular.”
