An Oldham school is holding its first theatre production since the Covid pandemic with an adaptation of Mary Poppins, with students describing it as an "amazing" experience.
Newman RC College, based in Chadderton, is set to host visitors on two days next week as it showcases weeks of hard work with their play, titled Mar Poppins Jr.
Based on the books which inspired the popular movie and musical, the play sees audience members introduced to the troubled Banks family in England during 1910.
The family gets a new nanny in the shape of Mary Poppins, who takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures.
After weeks of hard work, the students are ready to dazzle audience with two performances - Wednesday, March 27, and Thursday, March 28, both running from 7pm to 9pm.

The process has been a memorable experience for students, including Beth, who said: "My experience of Mary Poppins Jr has been amazing, I've had such a great time getting close to the cast and I hope the show never ends."
