Oldham has been mentioned as a case study by the government for levelling up funding which has gone towards green projects.
Yesterday (Monday, February 19), the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities highlighted the funding for the borough, which was set out for a business centre, Northern Roots and a pedestrian and cycling route.
The three projects - The Green Shoots Centre, the Northern Roots Learning Centre and The Oldham Greenway - received £20m in January last year.
Oldham's projects being used as a case study by the government comes after Prime Minister Rishi Sunak mentioned that Oldham was receiving £20m in Levelling Up funding last month.
The Green Shoots Centre will be a business centre developed on Rhodes Bank, which will serve sustainable businesses looking to grow and develop.
The centre will be supplied entirely by renewable energy from the solar photovoltaic system on the roof of the building, and renewable heating from the Minewater District Heat Network Energy Centre, which will also be situated on the same site at Rhodes Bank.

Funding designated for Northern Roots has gone towards a learning centre at the UK's largest urban farm and eco park.
The learning centre will provide training linked to green and sustainable skills, supporting the Green Shoots Centre.
It will also be used to teach vocational courses and improve environmental skills.
The final project, The Oldham Greenway, is a cyclist and pedestrian route which will link the Green Shoots Centre, Northern Roots and Jubilee Park, which will be based in the town centre.
The route will look to encourage active travel in the area amongst Oldham's residents once it is completed.
A previous version of this story suggested these projects had recently received new funding, however this is not the case.
