However, a search to find Carol's next of kin or any other family members has been launched.
Oldham officers of Greater Manchester Police said they are aware that some of Carol's next of kin have also "passed away recently".
The force is keen to speak to her family and is encouraging anyone with information to get in touch by calling 0161 856 8555 directly.
