A new community cafe which specialises in Desi brunch food had a successful grand opening over the weekend.
Aura cafeteria in Victoria Street opened to the public on Saturday (February 17), promising to bring a sprinkle of delectable Desi food and halal brunch items to Chadderton.
A planning application which was granted in June 2021 outlined transforming the former off-licence and convenience shop into a hot drink and cake shop.

Bosses of the restaurant started the work in summer last year and recently completed an incredible transformation.
Sneak peek shots of the premises on social media show its modern makeover includes sleek new flooring, LED lights, a grass and flower wall and 'Instagrammable' cosy seating areas with shell and panel patterned chairs.
It also has a 'gossip corner' in purple lighting.
The cafe, which is open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 5pm on weekends, has an extensive menu with breakfast, lunch, pastries, artisan tea and hot drinks, plus mocktails, on offer.
Stand-out items include its 'supreme' breakfast (£9.90), Desi breakfast with Desi tea (£8.50), Banga bread (£5), salmon benedict, lotus or Nutella French toast (£7).
Lunch times also include chicken biryani, chicken strips, chicken or cheese burgers and a range of rice bowls - from salmon to seabass.
Diners can also opt for a light bite or snack, such as loaded fries with chicken and cheese (£5), samosa chaat (£4.50), or a chip or egg muffin (£3).
For its sweet treats, it has croissants, cinnamon rolls and biscuits.
Aura also has a hefty list of soft drinks to choose from, including mocktails on the classics, as well as hot drinks which include Desi tea, coffees, hot chocolates and artisan teas such as mint tea and lemon and ginger.
The grand opening has already impressed Chadderton with many posting their thoughts and photographs of the food on social media.
Councillor Nazrul Islam was one such happy customer who said Aura lived up to its promise of "great food" in a "lovely atmosphere".
A spokesperson for Aura said: "We have opened specifically the cafe at this location to offer our local community something affordable and yet glamorous to come and enjoy.
"We firmly believe that this will give our area more vibrancy and a place where everyone is welcome too.
"We have made sure the menu is more than affordable and food is served at the highest presentation and taste."
