A popular chippy which prides itself on fresh, tasty and hot food and has attracted customers far and wide for its fish and chip fix has announced new additions to its menu.
The Mod Cod Chippy on Taylor Street in Middleton is just a stone's throw away from Oldham and has impressively high ratings from its loyal customers.
Recent reviews describe the takeaway as "top tier", "off the scale" and "the best fish and chips for miles".
It offers crispy fish and chips, "delectable" burgers and "mouth watering sides" as the owners say they "strive to create an experience" at The Mod Cod.

Now, however, the bosses are looking to expand that experience with some more "excellent quality" menu additions and specials.
In a post on social media, the chippy said: "Firstly, let's mention our goal as a food business, as we’re consistently keeping this in mind, prior to making any additions whatsoever.
"We wish to continue to do our very best in serving everybody and offering dishes which cater to specific needs and requirements while having one major thing in mind - TASTE."
The fish and chip pros said it sticks to its slogan, 'tasty, hot and fresh', which is also plastered on its logo, adding: "We live and die by this to every end.
"Call us sad, we simply care to the extreme."
The post revealed five new items will be rolling out, including homemade pies and a homemade chilli con carne which is cooked using "only the finest" Aberdeen Angus extra lean mince meat and "seasoned and taste-tested to perfection".
Homemade peppercorn sauce has also been added, which is made with The Mod Cod's own gravy mix, whisked with fresh cream and cracked peppercorns to become its "signature homemade restaurant-grade sauce".
Meanwhile, customers can also ask for free "batter bits" with their meals.
Other upgrades include a pepper mill on the front counter to give "a proper restaurant-style experience" for its customers while hash browns are available for single sale.
In the coming months, The Mod Cod said it will be opening earlier - from 4pm Monday to Saturday as opposed to its current opening time at 4.30pm.
The chippy hit headlines in summer last year after bosses said they were "battering" the cost-of-living crisis with new deals and discounts up for grabs in line with its first birthday.
The team said: "We want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering support and love throughout this incredible year."
The Mod Cod said its customers are "not just enjoying a scrumptious meal - you're also helping to feed our family at home".
They continued: "We've poured our hearts and souls into creating mouth watering dishes that nourish both body and soul.
"Your patronage has not only allowed us to share our passion for cooking, but it has also helped us provide for our loved ones, ensuring that they are well-fed and cared for.
"We can't express how grateful we are to witness the smiles and satisfied bellies of our customers."
