A date has been set for the release of a new series filmed in Greater Manchester starring Hollywood actor Ewan McGregor.
The A-lister was in the region filming for the star-studded drama, A Gentleman in Moscow, set during the Russian Revolution - with photographers descending on a Greater Manchester town desperate to get a snap.
Much of the filming took place in Bolton's Victoria Square with the area fenced off to the public.
McGregor – of Moulin Rouge and Star Wars fame – was spotted near the steps of the town hall.
Director, Sam Miller, as well as a number of actors in period dress and with authentic touches such as cars and carriages were spotted to create the Russian era.
The area around the town hall was blanketed in snow.
As well as Bolton, filming also took place in Bury's Heaton Park.
Based on a 2016 novel by Amor Towles, A Gentleman in Moscow tracks aristocrat Alexander Rostov after he is spared execution, but sent to the Hotel Metropol under house arrest.
Count Rostov is threatened with death if he ever tries to leave.
