A Boots in Oldham is reportedly set to close this March to make way for a new pharmacy.
Speculation about the Boots Pharmacy closing down on Market Street in Shaw has grown for some time, to the point where store manager, Lisa Worgan, made a public announcement in September last year to squash the rumours.
At the time, Ms Worgan said staff were being asked "daily" by customers if the shop was due to close.
Shoppers also said they thought the shop was struggling due to shelves appearing "empty" and suggested the shop had become a hotspot for shoplifters.

Now, however, it is understood by The Oldham Times that the Shaw Boots will be rebranding into another pharmacy by the end of March this year.
Staff in the store have promised customers they won't be going anywhere when the change of hands takes place and have allegedly been offered new positions in the pharmacy.
Although Boots has not officially confirmed the takeover of its Shaw premises, the retailer is set to close 300 locations across the country this year, seeing stores drop from 2,200 to just 1,900.
Boots has been contacted for comment.
