Until midnight tonight, police officers will be given extra powers to stop and search people in Failsworth.
A section 60 order has been extended in Failsworth and covers the entirety of Limeside and parts of Hollinwood after a teenager was arrested yesterday.
The order was first imposed yesterday, Monday, just after 4pm following reports of an altercation outside a supermarket on Ashton Road West.

It was believed that at least one person in a group had possession of a knife.
Officers quickly responded however most of the group had immediately dispersed.
One teenager was been arrested in connection with the incident and has since been released on bail.
A Section 60 Order is in place until midnight to give officers extra powers to stop and search individuals.
Inspector Paul Giannasi of GMP’s Oldham District said; “The additional powers granted this evening demonstrate our robust and thorough approach to incidents of this nature.
“Although this is thought to be an isolated incident between groups known to one another, we understand the impact incidents like these can have on communities, particularly those just trying to go about their daily business. Thankfully no members of the wider public reported injuries.
