Snow is set to come to Oldham according to both the BBC and Met Office weather forecasts.
BBC Weather has forecast light snow to fall on the town centre in the early morning and late afternoon on Wednesday, January 17, with Saddleworth also forecast to experience snow from the early afternoon, continuing into the night.
The day will see a high of 3C and a low of -2C in both areas of the borough.

Light snow will then return to the town centre and Saddleworth from 7pm on Thursday and will continue into the night, according to the BBC – with temperatures at or below freezing throughout the night. Temperatures on Thursday will see highs of 3C and lows of -2C.
Friday will see light snow throughout the morning into the early afternoon in Oldham and Saddleworth, followed by a few hours of cloudy weather before the snow returns later that night. Temperatures on Friday are set to reach highs of 3C and lows of 0C.
Those hoping to enjoy the snow on the weekend may be disappointed, with the national broadcaster, which uses MeteoGroup weather data, currently forecasting light rain and increased temperatures of up to 7C on Saturday, January 20 and Sunday, January 21.

According to the nationwide Met Office long-range forecast, ‘brisk northerly winds’ will likely develop widely across the UK from Monday, January 15, with a risk of snow showers most frequent across the north – with an ‘increasing risk of something potentially disruptive’, including snow and sleet, developing until Wednesday, January 24.
The Met Office seven-day forecast is less certain about snow than the BBC’s forecast.
According to the Met Office, there is a 50 per cent chance of snow in Uppermill on the morning of Tuesday, January 16 – which is set to change to cloud by the late morning.
No other snow has been forecast in the area by the Met Office.
