A man from Middleton who 'never won anything' in his life has had his world flipped upside down after finding a 'lucky' £10 note turned into a hat-trick of wins.
David Asprey said he is on "cloud nine" after he picked up a chance "lucky tenner" on the street which he believes triggered a series of events which left him celebrating multiple wins over Christmas.
After finding the money on the floor, the 33-year-old then won a £20,000 garden makeover, courtesy of the online competition firm, BOTB.

Mr Asprey said: "It was an amazing few days really.
"I found a tenner, then got a call from BOTB’s Christian saying I’d won the Midweek Lifestyle competition.
"Then, within a few hours, my partner, Jordanne, won £100 in an online game.
"It was mental.”
The father-of-three even purchased a National Lottery ticket while a makeover team was on the way to his house, but his luck ran out.
He continued: "I guess you can't win them all.
"In fairness, we've had a great week.
"We've got some cash to do the garden, clear a few debts and also upgrade the car, so it's been life-saving really."
Mr Asprey said he used to play BOTB in the past but stopped until he saw the garden competition.
He continued: "I felt a bit poorly and said to my missus that there was a nagging voice inside me telling me to play the Midweek Lifestyle competition.
"Our garden was a mess and I just liked the look of the makeover prize. I never imagined I’d win.
"It’s incredible and will make a massive difference as the garden is just a quagmire at the moment.”
BOTB’s Christian Williams also said: “What a week David’s had!
"He was such a lovely, genuine guy and we’re delighted for him.
"Not only will he get to spruce up his garden but he’ll also have some cash leftover for a newer car and to sort his finances.
"Who needs Santa when you have BOTB.”
The company's competition sees lucky winners receive a "stunning dream car" every week as well as a lifestyle prize.
In recent months, winners have bagged Rolex watches, holidays and motorbikes.
