A weather warning for rain has been put in place for Oldham tonight with flooding possible as many will be celebrating New Year's Eve.
A yellow weather warning for rain has been rolled out across parts of Greater Manchester today (December 31) as of 6pm through to 6am on January 1.
The Met Office warns frequent heavy showers may lead to some flooding and disruption to travel.
Flooding to a few homes and businesses could be possible and spray and flooding on roads could make journey times longer.
Bus and train services will probably be affected too, the weather forecaster has said.
For Oldhamers celebrating New Year tonight, heavy rain is forecast to hit the borough as of 4pm.
The rain is expected to continue into the night through to New Year's Day up until 8am.
The bad weather is forecast to ease off as of 9am with some sunny intervals making an appearance around midday.
