A "lanehogger" caused congestion on the M60 close to Oldham then took almost a mile to pull over for police.
The Honda driver was spotted by a patrol this weekend according to a post on social media by GMP Traffic.
The post said the "lanehogger" caused congestion on the M60 close to Oldham by staying in a middle lane rather than returning to the left lane when it is safe to do as is set out in the Highway Code.
He took almost a mile to pull over for police at which point he was hit with a Traffic Offence Report (TOR).
The post said: "Congestion in lane two means one thing... a lanehogger. On being signalled to pull over the driver then failed to stop for almost a mile until he was encouraged onto the hard shoulder."
A TOR is an alternative to a fine which is sent to the central ticket office for consideration.
A fine is one possible outcome but other outcomes include a course or a court summons.
