Greater Manchester Police has arrested a man on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm after finding a man with an injury to his hand.
The force was called out to Westminster Road, in Failsworth, late in the evening on Saturday, December 16.
Social media users reported seeing a police presence in the area until 10.30am the following morning.
Video posted on social media at 11.30am on Sunday appeared to show police removing tape in the vicinity of the Wing Hing takeaway and Go Local convenience store.

In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said: “Police were called to Westminster Road in Failsworth shortly after 11pm on Saturday 16 December and located a male with an injury to his hand.
“One male was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and remains in police custody.
“Anyone with information should contact Oldham CID on 0161 856 8999.”
