Five Oldham students have taken part in a life dance performance at an American football stadium.
The E-ACT Royton and Crompton Academy pupils jetted off to Miami, Florida, as part of a group of 157 young people to take part in a live dance performance during half-time at a clash between the Miami Dolphins and the Tennessee Titans on Monday, December 11.
The dancers enjoyed a five-day trip which culminated in a performance alongside official Miami Dolphins cheerleaders in front of a huge audience at the Hard Rock Stadium.
Prior to the trip, during a rehearsal held at Kirsten's Dance Academy in Mossley in November, the students were excited to meet Gogglebox’s Tom Malone, who turned up to speak to and mentor the group.
E-ACT Royton and Crompton Academy headteacher Andrea Atkinson said: “I am so proud of the students who took part in this exciting opportunity.
“I know they have been working hard for months to make sure their moves were perfect and everyone at Royton and Crompton is over the moon that they got to be involved in such a unique experience.”

The Hard Rock Stadium, located in Miami Gardens, holds around 65,000 people and is the home of the Miami Dolphins in the National Football League.
The trip was brought about thanks to Pro-Excel, an organisation which brings young people from diverse backgrounds together in a bid to create social change through dance and sport.
Following months of practice and hard work, the Oldham students left for five days in sunny Miami on December 8.

Aside from the dance performance, the students also got to experience a VIP party by the beach, with a top Miami DJ, a tour of the Hard Rock Stadium, a formal red carpet dinner the night before the performance, an intense rehearsal programme and two game-day performances: one pre-game and one at half-time.
The Tennessee Titans scored two touchdowns in the final two minutes and 40 seconds of the game to beat the Miami Dolphins 28-27.
