A 'winter weekend of unsigned bands' has been announced for Oldham and Manchester with hopes to inject grassroots music into the borough and 'keep the scene alive'.
On Saturday, December 16, two bands will be staging The Bank Top Tavern on King Street.
Glasgow-based band, Nasty Nesto and the Sadbois, promise to bring their Latin infused indie and alt-soundscape to Oldham revellers having teamed up with Tactile Promotions for their north west leg of their mini tour this season.

WonkyPuss, an upbeat acoustic duo from Hebden Bridge, will also perform a series of 'tongue-in-cheek' tunes while Tameside's The Flamingo Diaries will deliver their sleazy rock blues.
The grassroots promoter, Tactile, has also scored a second night of entertainment the following day on Sunday, December 17, at The Peer Hat, Faraday Street in Manchester's Northern Quarter.
Oldham's indie-rock crew, Mercy Kelly, will kick off part two of the weekender and are returning to the stage after a long summer of writing and recording new material.
Brain Page, a "riotous" youth outfit from Saddleworth, will then headline the gig with their unique grunge style and solid rock indie beats.
Bri McDade, of Tactile Promotions, said to "expect something special" from Mercy Kelly and that the Saddleworth group "deserve to be playing their first headlining gig in Manchester after a year of gigs in the satellite circuit".
Nasty Nesto and the Sadbois will also make a second appearance before jetting off to London for a few gigs in Shoreditch on Monday, "so be sure you catch them while you can", Bri added.
While entry to The Bank Top Tavern on Saturday is free for gig-goers from 8pm onwards, those popping down to Manchester will pay £8 on the door for entry into The Peer Hat from 7pm.
Tactile Promotions have also hinted at a further six Saturday night slots booked next year at The Bank Top Tavern.
Bri said: "We are hoping to bring a wider range of grassroots original music to Oldham and beyond.
"A quirky, irresistible and irregular fanzine is in the pipeline and possible more one-off gigs in Manchester.
"Maybe, just maybe, the return of Grottfest number two.
"Let's keep the grassroots scene alive."
