Walkers who were exploring a popular beauty spot in Oldham over the weekend were rescued by volunteers after they became 'lost' in the snow.
On Saturday night (December 2), Greater Manchester Police received reports of two walkers who had become lost in the Dovestones area.
The force asked Oldham Mountain Rescue Team (OMRT) for assistance in the search and rescue of the pair.

The volunteer-led team traced the phone signal of the pair where they were found in a position halfway up Birchen Clough.
OMRT then dispatched vehicles to the end of the track at Birchen Weir and the team set off on foot through snowy conditions to find the pair.
A photograph shows several OMRT personnel had to climb over rocks in the dark.
Fortunately, the lost walkers, along with their dog, were soon located above the waterfall.
They were spotted by their flashing head torches.
After assessing their condition, the pair were walked off the hill to the warmth of the waiting rescue vehicle.
The mission took the team two hours to complete and involved 14 mountain rescue team workers.
