Parts of Oldham are without water and multiple schools have closed following issues with water in the borough.
Saddleworth School in Diggle and St Thomas' Leesfield C.E. Primary in Lees are both closed due to issues with water supply.
Water company United Utilities has reported that it has found the cause of no water or low pressure in the area to be a burst water main on Hartshead Street – however, it says the issue at Saddleworth School is separate to this.

The issues had led to the cancellation of the school’s career fair, which was due to take place from 4pm to 6.30pm yesterday.
A statement posted on the school’s website today by headteacher Mike Anderson said: “Unfortunately, the engineers were unable to repair and restore our water supply yesterday evening.
“School will therefore be closed to all students today, Wednesday 11th October.
“Engineers will be continuing to work on the problem today and our aim is to be open as usual tomorrow. We will provide a further update for parents/carers later today.
“Remote learning will be set for students via our Class Charts App.”
A Year 10 Geography field trip is going ahead as planned.
A spokesperson for United Utilities said: “Our teams are investigating an issue with the water supply to Saddleworth School and are working hard to resolve the matter as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
