Dads, uncles, and grandads of pupils from Samantha Jane School of Dance took over the stage for the school’s annual show at the weekend.
The group of thirteen ‘dancing dudes’ performed a dance routine to Gloria Gaynor’s disco anthem I Will Survive over two nights to an audience of more than 250 people.
The show at the Co-op Academy Theatre in Manchester has so far raised £4700 for the charities Manup and Prostate Cancer UK.
Prostate Cancer UK supports men affected by prostate cancer and is funding research into the disease and Manup is a charity aiming to raise awareness about mental health among men.
The group, who had never danced before, started rehearsals at the Samantha Jane School of Dance five months ahead of the performance.
Money is still being collected at Samantha Jane School of Dance at the Ram Mill Business Centre in Chadderton for those who would like to donate.
