A woman in her 70s has been taken to hospital after being struck by a car in Saddleworth.
The woman, a pedestrian, was struck by the vehicle on High Street in Uppermill at 9.37am this morning, Wednesday.
She was treated by an ambulance crew and air ambulance crew, before being taken to hospital by road.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed that High Street was closed while the road was cleared, and that the driver remained at the scene following the crash.

A North West Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 9.37am to report of a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian.
“A woman in her 70s was assessed and treated at the scene by an ambulance crew, and air ambulance crew, and a consultant paramedic.
“She was then taken to hospital by road.”
