A man was rescued at the weekend after suffering multiple injuries following a fall in Dovestones.
A 16-strong team from Oldham Mountain Rescue Team (OMRT) was called to help a man who had fallen from Dean Rocks and suffered potentially serious injuries late on Sunday evening.
The team, with the help of a paramedic, found the casualty in one of OMRT's Land Rovers before treating him.
He was treated for multiple injuries before being taken away on a stretcher and carried down to an ambulance.
OMRT leader Rob Tortoishell said: ”Huge thanks to North West Air Ambulance, who flew the casualty's partner down from the top of the crag, saving a long and tricky walk.
"Another example of a large scale response from multiple emergency services who worked together to accomplish the best possible outcome for the casualty.
“We wish the male all the best for a swift and full recovery.”
The OMRT team was involved in the incident for just over two hours
