A woman was rescued by mountain rescue team members after falling a long distance down a very steep banking, suffering a possible broken leg.
Oldham Mountain Rescue Team (OMRT) were alerted by the incident in Reddish Vale on Thursday with the area situated in the team's operational area.
After being informed by Kinder Mountain Rescue Team, who has been asked by North West Ambulance Service for assistance, OMRT members attended along with a HART specialist crew of paramedics.
The casualty was described as "medically stable" when OMRT arrived before she was put on a stretcher and hauled up an 80 metre slope using specialist rope rescue equipment.
She was then placed back in the care of ambulance staff before she was taken to hospital.
Eighteen OMRT personnel were involved in the incident for two hours and 30 minutes.
