A child has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car while riding their bike on a road in Oldham.
The crash happened this morning (Friday) on Oldham Road, Failsworth near the Tesco petrol station.
The child’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing at this stage and no arrests have been made.
Oldham Road was closed in both directions while emergency services attended the scene but has now been reopened.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “Officers were called to a collision between a child on a bike and a car on Oldham Road, Failsworth, today (Friday) at 9am.
“The child has been taken to hospital from the scene. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life changing.
“No arrests have been made.”
The Oldham Times has also contacted the North West Ambulance Services (NWAS) for a statement.
