A traditional English takeaway has opened in the heart of Shaw, Oldham.
The British Kitchen on Market Street opened its doors for the first time on Wednesday.
The new takeaway is serving “teatime British classics” from 3pm until 9pm from Wednesday through to Saturday and will be dishing up a carvery each Sunday from 3pm to 8pm.
The Shaw and Crompton Town Crier has announced the takeaway’s opening on Facebook and wished the team good luck.
He wrote: “Vicky a fully-fledged Gawbie, opened the British Kitchen Today, its open from 3 till 9 Wednesday till Saturday and Sunday 3 till 8 including Carvery available.
“The menu are all teatime British classics, British Kitchen can't wait to try it out and as a bonus there won't be any washing up. Good luck to all involved.”
His sentiments were echoed by dozens of Facebook users in the comments who have flocked to wish the takeaway good luck.
Reacting to the post one commenter wrote: “Brilliant good luck ladies.”
Another added: “Looks great…good luck ladies.”
