A woman from Royton who is renowned for her 'mean' lemon drizzle cakes has been busy baking to raise money for a cause close to her heart.
Lynn Tissington has been a volunteer and avid fundraiser for cancer charity Maggie's Oldham for the past six years since the centre opened.
The Roytoner who lives in the Tandle Hill Road area said she regularly bakes cakes and sweet treats, earning her the nickname 'the lemon drizzle queen', to raise vital funds for the charity.
Maggie's, which is funded from charitable trusts, companies and local community efforts, promises to provide the "best possible support" that is free to anyone with cancer, as well as their families.
The charity's centres work to provide professional help - from navigating treatment side effects to money worries and emotional support.

Lynn felt compelled to help the charity after her husband died 11 years ago from cancer, during which time "there was no support for patients or relatives in the area", she said.
"Maggie's is just a drop-in centre for patients, relatives and friends.
"We have benefit advisers, qualified nurses and a psychologist and offer classes such as yoga, relaxation, bereavement advice and we have a men's group."
On Saturday (May 27), Lynn hosted her own cake sale with cream teas from her garden in the sunshine.
Her spread included scones, Victoria sponge cake, Biscoff cake, coffee and walnut cake, carrot cake, chocolate cupcakes and a cappuccino swiss roll.
She raised an incredible £300 on the day which was arranged as part of Maggie's 'kitchen table' event.
Lynn said: "It was a brilliant day and we enjoyed chatting in the garden."
Meanwhile, her daughter, Louise Woodman, completed the Great Manchester Run last week, completing the 10k run which put another £500 into the pot for Maggie's.
Lynn also volunteers for Maggie's every Tuesday morning and comes armed with her cakes to raise money and spread positivity in the centre for visitors.
She continued: "I do all I can to spread the word about this fantastic charity.
"It's a lovely building.
"They call me the lemon drizzle queen."
Residents and those who know Lynn have backed up her claim, with many flocking to her garden on Saturday for a slice or two of her famous drizzle.
A neighbour over on Thornham Lane made a pre-order for two drizzle cakes while another woman commented: "Her lemon drizzle cake is the best you will ever taste."
Another said they popped over "for a box of goodies and scones" which she said were "lovely".
