A post office in Oldham is set to reopen after it was closed 18 months ago.
Ripponden Road Post Office is to reopen under new management at its location in Moorside.
The branch has been closed since November 2021, with a message on the Post Office website saying the branch is ‘temporarily closed’ due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’.
The opening hours for Ripponden Road Post Office will be Monday to Saturday: 8am – 8pm; Sunday: 9am – 6pm.
This will provide 81 hours of Post Office service a week for the convenience of customers.
This is a reduction when compared to hours listed on the Post Office's website back in October 2021, where the branch was open for 108.5 hours a week, opening from 6.30am Monday to Saturday and 7.30am on Sundays, and closing at 10pm every day except Friday and Saturday, when the branch closed later, at 10.30pm.

Post Office services will be restored to Ripponden Post Office, based at 661-665 Ripponden Road, Moorside, Oldham, OL1 4JU, on Friday, May 26 at 1pm.
The same range of products and services will be available.
David Hunt, Post Office Network Provision Lead, said: “We are delighted to soon be restoring Post Office services to Moorside as we know how important a Post Office is to a community.”
In a letter shared addressing customers ahead of the opening, David Hunt said: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, the above branch closed temporarily in November 2021.”
He continued: “The service will be operating from the same premises by a new operator offering the same range of Post Office products and services. Full details of the new service are provided at the end of this letter.
“I know that the local community will join me in welcoming this good news and hope that you and our customers will continue to use this service. If you are a local representative, it would be helpful if you could share this information through your social media channels and with any local groups or organisations that you know within the community, for example on noticeboards, local charities and in GP surgeries, to help our customers and your constituents understand what is happening to the Post Office in the local community.
“If there are any unforeseen changes to the opening date, posters will be displayed in branch to let customers know.”
