An already multi-award-winning wedding and events venue in Oldham has been nominated again for a prestigious award that brides keep a lookout for.
Smokies Park, situated on Ashton Road, is owned by Ailantus Hotels and forms part of the Holiday Inn franchise.
Over the past three decades, the venue has completed a massive transformation, starting out initially as a nightclub and then as a Best Western Hotel before turning into the adored hotel and venue it is today.

Smokies now host upwards of 80 weddings every single year and has gone on to win a number of awards, including "best venue" in the Guides for Brides Wedding Awards 2018.
Now, however, it hopes to add another accolade to its belt as the wedding pros reveal they have been nominated to win the "best venue in Manchester" in the County Brides North West Wedding Awards which is taking place this June.
The venue even completed a multi-million-pound renovation in autumn last year, polishing it into a newly refurbished, premium hotel and wedding venue which it hopes will help the team to bag the 2023 award.
Clare Garcia, wedding and events co-ordinator for Smokies Park, said: "I am truly honoured to have been nominated as a finalist for Country Brides.
"I love my job - it’s such a pleasure to be involved in the planning of someone’s special day and turn those discussions and plans into reality.
"It’s so rewarding to know that I have been part of making a couples day the most magical day of their lives.
"To me, the best feeling after the event is to hear the words ‘it was perfect‘".
Smokies Park said each wedding it hosts is "incredibly important".
"We feel it's our personal service and enthusiasm for each and every wedding that makes our venue special", the venue added.
In a post on social media, Smokies Park wrote: "We could not be more proud of the way we have been able to make our brides and grooms feel special and we would love for you to share your experience and help us become the best venue Manchester."
