A student is set to represent Oldham in a young chef competition where he will face off against other culinary connoisseurs from across the region.
Adi Yousef, a pupil at The Radclyffe School, will be taking part in the regional final of the Rotary Club Young Chef competition after winning a spot in the showdown.
The Year 8 pupil had won a spot in the finale after finishing third in the district heat that was held at the school.
The youngsters had two hours to prepare a three-course meal and had to work within a budget to impress the judges, who are industry professionals.

The competition, which is brought to encourage young people to develop their food presentation skills and gain experience in high-pressure situations, assesses not only the taste and healthiness of the dishes but also the contestants' planning and hygiene when cooking.
Adi's menu featured a cheese and egg roll with salad to start, Napoleon chicken with basmati rice as the main and a caramel egg pudding with a strawberry garnish.

The final, which is open to youngsters from across the country but is being held on a regional basis this year, will take place at Hope Academy in Newton-le-Willows in June.
