The top five cheapest and most viewed properties in Oldham throughout April have been revealed.

Every month, the property website, Zoopla, reveals 10 homes that have caught the most attention for buyers in Oldham - and the results are in for April.

While the top 10 hottest properties of the month vary in price from £75k to £300k, here are the top five cheapest on the list that all happen to fall below the £170k mark.

This month's round also happens to have a lower price tag than the most popular and cheapest homes viewed in March.

1. Byron House, Oldham (£75,000)

Top of the affordable list is this two-bed flat on Byron Street.

It is the cheapest property up for grabs in the borough though, interestingly, it falls seventh on the list in terms of its eyeballs on the page.

It's a ground floor apartment which comes with its own allocated parking space.

Although the photographs show it could do with some work, notably new flooring throughout, the open-plan kitchen-dining space appears modern and spacious.

2. Coverham Avenue, Oldham (£135,000)

Coming in as the second most viewed property and at an affordable price is this three-bed end terraced house on Coverham Avenue.

The end townhouse is comprised of a lounge, kitchen/diner, three bedrooms and a family bathroom as well as "good sized" gardens to the front and rear, according to Zoopla.

3. Cardigan Road, Oldham (£145,000)

Over on Cardigan Road is this "superb" four-bedroom terraced home which sits comfortably in an eco-development - and in third place on both lists.

The property has a family lounge, open plan kitchen/dining room and a downstairs toilet while the other two floors contain the bedrooms, a family bathroom and an ensuite to the master bedroom.

It is described as having a "sociable" living space as the open plan kitchen leads "seamlessly" into the enclosed rear garden.

4. Middleton Road, Chadderton (£145,000)

With the same asking price to Cardigan Road is this three-bed terraced house on Middleton Road in Chadderton, though it was ranked ninth overall in terms of popularity.

Zoopla describes the property as "traditional" and "smart" with an entrance vestibule, lounge, dining room, kitchen, three bedrooms, a bathroom and a "low maintenance" patio at the back.

The property was built initially with just two bedrooms but has since been expanded.

However, the photographs show the home could do with some updating.

5. Rosebay Close, Royton (£168,000)

Finally, the fifth cheapest property for sale which has come in 10th place on the list overall is this three-bed terraced house on Rosebay Close.

Situated in the Royton area, Zoopla describes the property as "beautiful" and "spacious" while the photographs suggest the home is move-in ready.

It is comprised of an entrance hall, reception room, modern fitted kitchen with integrated appliances, conservatory, downstairs toilet, three "generous" bedrooms, a family bathroom and gardens to the front and rear to boot.
