A boy is believed to have suffered "life threatening" injuries after being hit by a car in Oldham yesterday (March 30) evening.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) confirmed that at around 6.25pm on Thursday, they were called to reports of a car hitting a young boy on Vulcan Street.
The boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries which GMP said are believed to be life threatening.
A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene by police on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving. The man has since been released on bail.
North West Ambulance Service said they were called at 6.21pm to reports of a person being hit by a car.
A rapid response ambulance, an ambulance and air ambulance to scene.
The boy was treated for treated for head injuries and was taken to Manchester Children's Hospital.
Now, police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have footage of the incident, including CCTV or dashcam, to get in touch with them.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said they were not called to the incident.
