A family-run pub is celebrating its high score in food hygiene standards after refurbishing the kitchen.
The Horton Arms on Street Bridge Road in Chadderton revealed it recently received five stars in food hygiene and safety practices once again.
While the latest inspection is yet to be published on the Food Standards Agency website, the pub had previously been rated highly in 2018.
The food safety officer found food handling, the cleanliness and condition of the facilities and building and its management of food safety to be 'good'.
The pub was closed this week on Monday and Tuesday as it completed its maintenance work on the kitchen.
In celebrating the latest five-star rating, the pub said it came down to Maria's infamous cheese and onion pie.
Maria has been baking at the pub for more than a decade and The Horton Arms said her pies are "the ultimate pie perfection" which cannot be beaten.
