A manhunt has been launched in connection with the attempted robbery of a post office in Oldham last week.
On Thursday (March 16), Greater Manchester Police were called to Shaw Post Office after reports of an attempted robbery.
Police said a man had entered the building and demanded money from the counter staff.
However, he left empty-handed.
The post office, in a post on social media, further claimed the man had threatened staff with acid and pulled out a bottle but this was not confirmed in the police statement.
There were no injuries reported from the incident.
To trace the man's whereabouts, GMP is now appealing to the general public for help.
If anyone has information or details that may help the investigation, they are asked to call 101 quoting incident 2207 of 16/03/23.
Alternatively, details can be passed on anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
