A post office in Shaw has said its staff were subject to an attempted robbery and the man threatened workers with acid.
Shaw Post Office and PhoneTech on Rochdale Road, in a post on Facebook yesterday, said a man came into the premises at approximately 4pm on Thursday "demanding cash".
During the ordeal, the post office said the man also claimed to have acid on him and pulled out a bottle.

The post added: "We basically told him to get lost and activated the alarms.
"He made a quick exit, empty-handed."
There were no injuries reported from the incident and the post office confirmed Greater Manchester Police visited the shop to take evidence and its CCTV image.
The post office added: "Hopefully they can get him.
"Thanks for everyone’s concern, but we’re all ok and open tomorrow as usual."
